DESIGNING SPACES
by harmonizing colour, design materials,
and custom art.
Nicole is an artist with several years of experience in the painting and design world. She has extensive colour knowledge from her years spent at Emily Carr where she completed her BFA with a major in Painting. From there she went into the real world applying her art skills to the walls and accessories of people's homes. She spent years painting decorative finishes from metallic washes and glazes, to Venetian and clay plasters, transforming the walls of beautiful homes and commercial spaces.
While also painting beautiful spaces, Nicole worked as a Benjamin Moore colour consultant for over 15 years, during that time her consultations grew into design consulting as it came so naturally to her. Growing up, she was exposed to fine art and interior design, her grandfather was a renowned architectural engineer having engineered some of the tallest and most famous buildings in the world. It was then that her love for interior design and art grew and then flourished through her studies, then bloomed through her paint applications and colour/design consulting.
Nicole now does consultations for homeowners, realtors, painters, developers, contractors, and also has several interior designers who hire her for her extensive knowledge of colour. Although originally from back East (Ontario and Winnipeg), she spent most of her years in Vancouver. She mostly serviced the greater Vancouver area, but for her last and final years in Vancouver she worked mostly in the prestigious West Vancouver area. She has recently moved with her family to the BC interior, where she now resides in the beautiful West Kootenays. Although she is living in the West Kootenays where she consults mostly in person, she is still offering consultations virtually to those near and far.
Nicole is still painting art and is also taking on commissions for select clients.
